Develop Your Own Style Through Color
Hi I’m so glad you’re here!
My name is Julie Brayton. I am a native Rhode Islander and a daughter of a fisherman. I’ve always had a special relationship with nature, particularly coastal areas. As an introvert I found comfort in nature and animals. Becoming a painter and an artist was a natural fit for me.
Since I have sold my paintings I realized there are a lot of people like me who whether starting out young like I did painting or starting at 65 or older, want to experience the same joy and connection to nature as well as take on a new challenge and purpose! I look forward to helping you on your journey to becoming an artist by sharing my many years of knowledge and experience. Let’s Paint!!

Start to learn about color right away.
Since I started studing with Julie I see the world in a whole new way!
I was looking to improve the depth and form in my work. Julie’s use of color taught me a whole new way to approach form
I’ve been painting for a while but I wanted to improve and grow. Julie has helped me to see things differently and to stretch myself. Her use of color has brought life to my work.
My friend laughed at me when I decided to to take lessons. I never picked up a brush before. In a short time I was actually making paintings I liked! It really has boosted my confidence.
